Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
